It is official! After completing the application, providing all relevant information, and being interviewed by the local EDA Candidate Nomination Committee (CNC), the National Candidate Selection Committee (NCSC) has voted to invite me to contest the nomination in the electoral district of Thunder Bay–Rainy River for the Conservative Party of Canada. This has been a long road. As most of you know, there were issues with the process last time around. Determination pays off! Since the last election, many changes have been made to the process that seem to be working very well. That same determination, by the way, is what will get our beloved country of Canada back on a good course to prosperity, freedom, and strength. As I have written many times before, “quitting is not an option.” What happens next:
Over the next few weeks, we will be busy campaigning to win the nomination:
First Meet & Greet Tuesday evening, May 5th 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM The Neebing Roadhouse 2121 Hwy 61, Thunder Bay, Ontario(Banquet hall – to the right upon entry) There will be nachos and refreshments—we’d love to meet and chat! It will take a team effort to win the nomination, a team effort to win the riding, and most importantly, a TEAM EFFORT to represent this district at the nation’s capital in Ottawa. Serving as a Member of Parliament in the federal government of Canada is not a career choice or a position to be taken lightly. It is public service, where the individual represents—and is answerable to—the constituents of the riding. Let’s work together to bring that work ethic, transparency, and accountability back to Ottawa. We look forward to seeing you at The Neebing Roadhouse on Tuesday evening. In the meantime, please ensure your membership is current so you are eligible to vote at the nomination meeting. Purchase or renew your membership here. |
