Left Behind

In the 157 year history of Canada the current incompetent liberal federal administration under the leadership of Justin Trudeau has the unique distinction of being the government that has directed this country to a position that can only be summed up with the two word phrase of "left behind"

Let me explain...

Home Ownership:

We now live with the first generation of Canadians where the dream of home ownership is at best elusive and for the majority impossible. Inflation, high interest rates, cost of living, currency devaluation, crippling regulations and out of control immigration have caused the worst housing crisis this nation has ever seen. The result is home ownership is out of the question for many young adults and young families. They have been "left behind"

Wages:

Yahoo finance says this...  "According to Statistics Canada, the Canadian median income was $68,400 CAD in 2021, whereas in the same year, the US median income was $70,784 USD, according to the US Census. It doesn’t look like a massive difference but keep conversion rates in mind — $68,400 CAD is equal to $50,348 in USD."  At present the state with the lowest Annual income in the USA is Mississippi, sadly Canada is behind Mississippi in Annual income. Canadian workers have been "left behind"

Military:

With recruitment and retention levels in the Canadian armed forces at unprecedented low levels. Active military members using food banks to feed their families. Much equipment in a state of disrepair and in need of replacement. Supplies such as 155mm ammunition almost dried up and Canada only spending around 1/2 of its required investment in its military under NATO requirements, (I could continue on). Canada's armed forces have been "left behind"

Addiction:

According to our own federal government numbers... "Since 2016, there have been: over 44 000 opioid-related deaths. over 42 000 opioid-related hospitalizations. over 174 000 opioid-related emergency department visits." Sadly, this only tells part of the story, on the streets of our largest cities to once quiet suburban and rural neighbourhood's and town substance abuse, violent crime, gun violence, domestic abuse and the list goes on... have skyrocketed. With the so far out of touch policies of this woke, globalist, elitist, incompetent government some of the most vulnerable among us has been "left behind".

I could go on and talk about our standard of living, first responders, primary industries, manufacturing sector, health care system, small business, seniors and others. What a sad commentary and ugly phrase to sum up what has taken place in Canada. “Left behind” and “Canada” should not have to be spoken in the same sentence. Our nation should be summed up with phrases such as "leading the way", "on the cutting edge", "prosperous", "enduring freedom" and "leading in innovation".

The good news is this... Together we can turn this around and go from "left behind" to "leading the way". As a country we have the people, the resources, the know how and the tenacity to do just that. Under a Pierre Poilievre led Conservative majority government, we will do just that.

Will it be easy? No, but we must! In the very soon upcoming nomination meeting I need your vote, I want to represent this great district of Thunder Bay - Rainy River around the table in Ottawa and give it the voice and standing that the people, resources and industry found here need and deserve.

You must be a Conservative party member to vote for the nominee of your choice. If your membership has lapsed or you have not been a recent member or ever a member of the Conservative Party of Canada please click here and complete your membership form today.

God bless you and God bless the great nation of Canada.
