Road Not Taken

One of the most famous works of literature by the four time Pulitzer prize winning British/American poet Robert Frost was a poem entitled "The Road Not Taken". First published in 1915 it narrates a traveller coming upon a divergent part in the woods and having to decide which direction to take.
The last two lines are as follows... "I took the one less travelled by, and that has made all the difference."
As a nation, a people, as a Canadian family, today we like Robert Frost find ourselves at a decision point, at a fork in the road. Our decision will make "all the difference" for the future of Canada, our children and our children's children.
The divergence is not subtle, it is clear, stark and the decision we make at this moment in history will be extremely consequential for generations of Canadians to come. May God help us to make such a decision that when generations to come look back at 2025 they thank God for wise ancestors that chose the correct part for the nation we love.
Let's look at the choice of paths before us.
To the left... We have some insight here as we have seen our nation heading in this direction for the past decade, here are some highlights.
Almost innumerable scandals and breathtaking corruption at the highest level of government and trickling down though our agencies and institutions.
A broken immigration system where the doors to our home are wide open to friend and foe alike.
Tax, Tax, Tax. Carbon Tax, the "Netflix" tax, capital gains tax, corporate tax and on and on.
A broken justice system where crime of almost every sort has risen exponentially without the proper penalties or justice being administered.
An out of control cheque book and credit card that has left what should be the strongest economy of any OECD nation's, in a very precarious fiscal position saddling our great grandchildren with debilitating debt.
A depleted military, once one of the better fighting forces in the world now lacking in personnel and the tools needed to keep Canada safe and secure.
Handcuffing our visionaries, our builders, our natural resources and major development projects. Hamstringing the ingenuity and genius that is Canadian industry, thereby keeping the wealth beneath our feet from reaching and lifting up the lives of every person, every family and every entrepreneurial enterprise across this nation.
But maybe worst of all dividing our people by ethnicity, colour, region, financial status, religion and so on. The politics of division is nothing less than evil and ugly. I, for one, detest it!
Then over the past few days Mark Carney, Canada's likely next Prime Minister who will govern without being elected by Canadians and even without a seat in the House of Commons, has made comments such as these.
l paraphrase:
You call me an elite and a globalist, but that's what Canada needs right now.
We will place a large carbon tax on big industry, how much steel do you buy these days?
Fentanyl is not a crisis in Canada, it's just a challenge.
The path to the left is a hard one. I, for one, want to stay as far as possible from it. Canada deserves and will walk a much better, brighter path.
Let's look at the path to the right...
Here we see a path of common sense, prosperity, a brighter tomorrow and a strong, independent Canada.
On this path...
Government corruption and scandal will be crushed and once again government will work for the good of Canada, not some inside party affiliated special interest or oversea entities. We will put Canada first.
Our immigration system will be brought under control, reduced from over 2,300,000 annually to 10% of that or 200,000 to 250,000. New Canadians who come here to live the Canadian dream, who will protect, love, work and build this nation.
Sanity will be brought back to our taxation system, axing the carbon tax completely, cancelling the Capital gains tax increase and bringing a new Canada first taxation overall that will release a wave of investment and prosperity in Canada
Fixing a broken justice system, bringing jail not bail for violent repeat offenders, drug traffickers and the like. Bringing back safe cities and secure neighbourhoods where families can grow, thrive and children play in safety.
Controlling government spending where every dollar of new spending requires a dollar of savings. Getting our deficit and debt under control, unleashing the Canadian economy by cutting red tape and regulation, rapidly permitting mega projects that will get our nation to work. Putting an end to the wasteful spending that's leaving Canada and going to dictators and bureaucracies for nonsensical projects in every corner of planet earth.
Rebuilding our military to a place of strength, replacing a woke culture with a warrior culture and once again making the CAF a proud fighting force that can and will protect the sovereignty of the true north strong and free.
Uniting our people of every background, race, colour, religion and creed. Standing as the Canadian family under one flag, our enduring standard, the maple leaf.
Under the leadership of Pierre Poilievre and an army of like minded men and women who will sit in the house of Commons in Ottawa we will choose the "right" path and that "will make all the difference"
